Аннотация: Human rights due diligence (HRDD) has become the buzzword of much of the advocacy and work today around business and human rights.(1) It is almost commonplace that companies have the responsibility to identify, prevent, mitigate and account for how they address these adverse human rights impacts as part of their ongoing HRDD processes, in line with the UNGPs.(2) The assessment of human rights impacts (HRIA) is a critical step in this process.(3)

Аннотация: Gender inequality is one of the fundamental manifestations of socio-economic differentiation of the population, leading to different opportunities for selfrealisation for women and men in society. This makes it an important topic for analysis even though there may be different views on the matter. The labour market conditions that existed in Ukraine until the end of February 2022 exacerbated the problems of gender inequality in employment. These problems were manifested in unequal opportunities for women and men in public administration, education, employment, income and property. The research uses general and specific scientific methods - dialectical, historical, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction - to study the legislative frameworks governing gender equality in the European Union (EU) and Ukraine in determining the current state of women's employment in Ukraine and Europe. In this context, the purpose of this article is to identify the features of gender inequality in the labour market of modern Ukraine, as well as to identify its causes and solutions.

Аннотация: Objective: To assess the prevalence of intimate-partner violence (IPV) in a sample of Ukrainian mothers of schoolchildren, and to examine the relationship between IPV and family, parent, and child characteristics using multilevel models. Method: Mothers of children ages 9-16 (N = 278, 93.5% Ukrainians) answered the Revised Conflict Tactics Scale (CTS2; Straus, 1979; Straus, Hamby, Boney-McCoy, and Sugarman, 1996), an instrument that measures IPV. We also examined the relationship between IPV and maternal age, education, employment and marital status, family income, and rural or urban residence. Results: Most of the women (81%) reported psychological violence and 58% reported physical assault. On average, women reported 66 instances of IPV during the last year. Multilevel modeling revealed that lower maternal education, unemployment, not living with the husband or partner, and urban residency were associated with higher IPV victimization. Younger age and family income were not significantly related to IPV. Conclusion: We found IPV to be a significant social problem in the present sample of Ukrainian mothers of school-age children. Future policy and violence-prevention programming should focus on supporting academic and employment opportunities for women, particularly for those living in urban areas.

Аннотация: Purpose: to substantiate the effectiveness of using TRX suspension loops exercises for the development of strength qualities in women 30-35 years old. Material and methods: the study was conducted during the year with a group of women 30-35 years old (10 people), engaged in health fitness. To determine the effectiveness of the use of exercises on TRX suspension loops for the development of strength qualities in women of 30-35 years old, analysis and generalization of literary sources, pedagogical observation, testing, pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics were used. Results: the analysis of the results of the study showed that after the experiment, the average group indicators of the strength qualities of women 30-35 years old turned out to be significantly higher compared to the results of the initial testing, their increase was from 4% to 39%. Also, a comparative analysis of the results of women in the study group using the Student’s test showed reliably the best indicators of strength readiness in almost all tests (p [removed]0,05). Conclusions: the results obtained showed the effectiveness of using exercises on functional TRX loops for the development of strength qualities in women 30-35 years old. © 2021, Kharkiv State Academy of Physical Culture. All rights reserved.Мета: обґрунтувати ефективність використання вправ на підвісних петлях TRX для розвитку силових якостей жінок 30-35 років. Матеріал і методи: дослідження проводилося протягом року з групою жінок 30-35 років (10 осіб), що займаються оздоровчим фітнесом. Для визначення ефективності використання вправ на підвісних петлях TRX для розвитку силових якостей жінок 30-35 років було використано аналіз та узагальнення літературних джерел, педагогічне спостереження, тестування, педагогічний експеримент, методи математичної статистики. Результати: аналіз результатів дослідження засвідчив, що після проведення експерименту середньогрупові показники силових якостей жінок 30-35 років виявилися значно вищими у порівнянні з результатами початкового тестування. Їх приріст склав від 4% до 33%. Також порівняльний аналіз результатів жінок досліджуваної групи з використанням критерію Стьюдента показав достовірно кращі показники силової підготовленості майже у всіх тестах (p≺0,05; 0,01), окрім тестів «Стрибок вгору з місця» та «Стрибок у довжину з місця», де результат також кращий, проте, він не є статистично достовірним (p≻0,05). Висновки: отримані результати засвідчили ефективність використання вправ на функціональних петлях TRX для розвитку силових якостей жінок 30-35 років.

Аннотация: Background: Pilates training has proven to be an effective method of mental and physical conditioning in rehabilitation, and it has become increasingly popular within the general fitness community. Objective: This study aimed to determine the effect of Pilates training practice on the respiratory system, joint mobility, and muscle strength of healthy middle-aged women with sedentary occupation. Methods: Thirty-two healthy women (age 45.4 ± 2.3 years, range 40–49 years; body mass 73.5 ± 1.5 kg; body height 1.70 ± 0.03 m) were recruited and randomised into experimental (n = 18) and control (n = 14) groups. The experimental group participated in a 12-week series of 1-hour Pilates workouts (beginner level) three times per week. Results: After intervention, the experimental group revealed significant positive changes in the vital capacity test (p = .05), Stange test (p = .001), and Gencha test (p = .001). Respiratory rate and body mass index improved slightly. All joint mobility and muscle strength variables of the partici-pants showed significant differences compared with the baseline data (p .05). Аннотация: OBJECTIVE: The aim: To identify problems associated with non-medical genital surgery and establish the limits of acceptable medical intervention in such operations. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Materials and methods: The study is based on a theoretical basis, which includes reviews of legislation, reports from non-governmental organizations, and is based on empirical data: decisions of the European Court of Human Rights, international regulations, statistics of the World Health Organization. Systemic and structural, comparative legal and functional methods, systematization, analysis and synthesis were decisive in the research process. CONCLUSION: Conclusions: "Female genital mutilation" or "female circumcision" is essentially a separate type of bodily injury that is caused intentionally in accordance with various social domestic and religious traditions and beliefs of certain emigrant ethnical religious communities. Such actions are a form of discrimination and violation of women's rights on the basis of gender, as well as a form of child abuse, as the vast majority of such operations are carried out on girls under 12 years of age. Medical intervention in case of operations on female genitalia, including for non-therapeutic purposes, can be considered legitimate only with the informed consent of the patient and on conditions that the level of danger to human health from such intervention corresponds to the concept of personal autonomy, that is, it does not require direct state intervention for the reasons of urgent social necessity.

Аннотация: This chapter reports on the past and most recent historical context of violence and the presence of intimate partner violence (IPV) in Ukraine. While research is just beginning to identify the effects of IPV on Ukrainian women and children, a number of cultural and demographic factors that place women and children at greater risk are identified. These include elements of Ukrainian culture, as well family, religious, and social values that sustain domestic violence. There is a further discussion of cultural and contextual issues that need to be addressed when considering programs for women and children exposed to IPV. The chapter ends with suggestions for strategies to overcome barriers to change in Ukraine
