The scientific analysis of sophisms made it possible to clearly describe a number of logical errors underlying sophisms. One of the common causes for sophisms in legal argumentation is the substitution of dilemmas: instead of constructing two complex dilemmas and reasoning as to which of them will be priority. the first or the second. opponents formulate two erroneous dilemmas that are in relation to contradictions to each other.
