Аннотация: The purpose of this research was to develop a distant programme of educating parents of primary school children and experimentally check its efficiency in developing educational competencies in parents of primary school children. The study consisted of four consecutive stages: planning, diagnostic experiment, implementing the distant educational programme, and result evaluation. The participants of the research were 37 parents of pupils who went to the first grade of primary school in September 2018. All the participants gave their written consent to participate in the research. The diagnostic stage of the experiment showed that most of the surveyed parents possessed educational competences at a very low level. To provide the parents with pedagogical education, a distant educational course was developed. The course consisted of 12 online classes and lasted for 6 weeks. The online course provided for the parents’ participation in webinars and online conferences. On completing the course, the parents were asked to undergo a control questionnaire survey. The results of the control questioning showed that during the distant course, the parents obtained a sufficient and high level of pedagogical competence. The experiment showed the necessity and rationale for implementing the developed distant educational course for parents with the purpose of developing their pedagogical competence, as well as improving cooperation between teachers, parents and pupils.

Аннотация: The problem of attitude of teachers and students to on-line teaching and learning during in and after lockdown is very topical today. The purpose of the manuscript is to find out and analyze attitude to on-line teaching and learning in the terms of pandemic 2019-2021. In order to achieve the stated purpose the following methods were used: empirical (discussion and observation) ones facilitated distinguishing advantages and challenges that academic staff as well as university students have faced; research (questionnaires and quantitative methods) helped to determine the attitude of respondents to the problem under research. All the surveys were anonymous and conducted on-line. The study was held in 2019-2021 on the basis of different universities. The target group became 50 university teachers and almost 200 students of these universities. In the research we come to the conclusion that at the beginning of the lockdown in 2019-2020, on-line teaching was a great challenge, especially for university teachers. They were not ready for on-line teaching as they used to have the traditional teaching methods with live communication. The low computer and digital literacy of most teachers was the challenge as well. However, later, in 2020-2021, with teachers' technical, digital, methodical support for the teaching process, it became slowly clear that on-line teaching is not temporary for universities, in the nearest future blended learning will be the basic form. It has become obvious that on-line teaching expand many educational opportunities. As for the students' opinions, it became clear that they did not accept on-line learning as tragically as teachers. In 2020-2021 they were depressed only of the lack of live social life. Later on-line learning required students to be more self-organized, self-disciplined and self-motivated. The students realized that they had to take more responsibility for their own learning results.

Аннотация: The research studied the effectiveness of a three-stage Seamless Learning Model with Enhanced Web-Quizzing based on the intensive use of sets of quizzes created in different web-based quiz generators. The findings revealed that continuous testing using diagnostic, formative, benchmark and summative quizzes, administered at the three stages—familiarisation, formation and assessment, applying such features of seamless learning as learning in various contexts, ubiquitous access to digital learning resources and quizzes, combination of teacher-guided learning, self-directed and collaborative learning, and switching between various learning activities can be an efficient teaching technique in higher education having positive effect on academic performance, motivation, learners’ approaches to studying and course engagement. The testing effect was investigated on the summative tests taken at the end of the three different academic courses. The results showed that online quizzes applied primarily as learning tools with the emphasis on information retrieval and retention resulted in the higher achievements of the experimental group students. The survey conducted with Biggs’s Revised Two-Factor Study Process Questionnaire (R-SPQ-2F) showed the changes in the learners’ motives and approaches to studying revealed in students’ active participation in in-class and out-of-class activities, mastering of the material through understanding rather than mechanical memorizing, the search for additional information and increased attendance. The engagement of the experimental group students in the new quiz-enhanced settings was examined focusing on emotional, skills, participation and performance engagement aspects.

Аннотация: The article describes the problems international students encounter during psychophysiological adaptation. As the modern higher education system is characterized by academic mobility, and international students from countries with quite different geoclimatic and cultural traditions have to undergo an adaptation period, the problem under study is topical. The study was conducted at Kharkiv National Medical University (Ukraine) in 2020/2021. The research involved 1st, 2nd and 3rd-year international students (from 50 countries). The peculiarities of international students’ psychophysiological states were assessed during the stages of initial adaptation, stable adaptation and final adaptation. This study aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the factors of the natural and socio-pedagogical environment that affect the psychological adaptation process of international students. The present study provides new information on the acclimatization patterns of international students who study in Ukraine, as well as its functional significance on selected performance measures. General theoretical methods, research methods and methods of statistical data processing have been employed. The results reveal that the destabilizing factors that negatively affect international students’ adaptation process include frequent hypothermia, dietary changes, inadequate and irregular food intake, insufficient physical activity and excessive mental stress. Practical recommendations to decrease these negative factors are proposed.

Аннотация: The article deals with new challengers in higher education system in terms of reality caused by coronavi-rus COVID-19. Some positive experience in English distance teaching and learning (at the basis of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, Ukraine) is described as it is significant in pandemic and may become useful for post pandemic society to improve educational processes. The purpose of the paper is to share positive ideas for English e-learning organization at the tertiary level in pandemic in order to use e-learning gains in further educational practice, highlight and solve its problems. General theoretical methods (analysis and synthesis) as well as empirical (observa-tion and discussion) helped to find out advantages and identify disadvantages of the issue under study. The study has reached the following conclusions: asynchronous distance learning is effective for highly motivated students; synchronous forms demonstrate ability for developing all kinds of language skills. Advantages of distance teaching and learning there are: opportunity to display necessary didactic material on screen, to play audio recording or video materials for students in better quality. We have identified these problems: necessity of strong students’ motivation, connected with self-organization and the ability to work independently; sometimes insufficient technical skills of academic staff; academic dishonesty, which leads to meaninglessness of testing.

Аннотация: The paper investigates the effectiveness of personal smartphones and other mobile devices for learning English at the tertiary level during not normal situation in Ukraine. The research methods included 1) general theoretical methods (analysis and synthesis); 2) empirical methods (quasi-experiment, observation, interpretation); 3) methods of mathematical statistics (Pearson’s criterion). The material of the research involved 80 students of the first year of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University (Kharkiv, Ukraine) during the spring semester of 2021/2022 academic year. There were two samples: the experimental group (N = 40) that learned the course of “Legal English” exclusively through mobile devices and the control group (N = 40) that had only traditional forms of learning. The results revealed that academic progress of the students of the experimental group have improved by 15%, while achievements of the students of the control group have deteriorated by 10%. The reliability of the results is confirmed by the methods of mathematical statistics (p-value = 0.25; the significance level was chosen as 0.05). The conclusion is that mobile learning technology, which is able to provide students with access to systematic online training; platforms containing different textbooks and other local and remote educational content; as well as various educational services may become a great teaching and learning tool.

Аннотация: The manuscript points on the new challenges in higher education in terms of wartime in Ukraine after the world pandemic. The real country experience in English on-line teaching and learning is defined as it was important during the lockdown and it is suitable now in wartime in Ukraine. The aim of the research is to show helpful ideas, experience, to stress the advantages for English on-line teaching and learning. Some general theoretical methods as analysis and synthesis, and the empirical one as questionnaires discovered the advantages of the issue under study. The research has pointed out to the results: on-line teaching and learning prove the development of all the English language skills; off-line teaching and learning are basically useful for the students with high motivation. The Moodle platform (version 3.7), the University platform “Educational Electronic Information Complex” (EEIC), Zoom, Meet, Skype, Microsoft Teams are used for on-line teaching and learning. The most common advantages are the prospect to watch learning material on a laptop or mobile phone screen, to start any type the recordings as audio as video in the best quality. The conclusion is it is necessary to find a balance between on-line and off-line learning, communication, and interaction.

Аннотация: This article demonstrates the effectiveness of the motivation of students to the formation of health preservation culture on the basis of interdisciplinary integration. As the object of the research, we have developed methods for motivating students to form a culture of healthcare on the basis of interdisciplinary integration. The study involved 208 students from two higher educational institutions of Ukraine (Ivan Franko Lviv National University, Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University). Students were divided into control (n=86) and experimental groups (n=122). As the verification result, we have identified and compared the effectiveness of the motivation of students in the control and experimental groups to form healthcare culture on the basis of interdisciplinary integration. The digital indicators of the obtained results confirm the suitability of using the author technique in the process of studying the following disciplines: “Safety of life”, “Philosophy”, “History of Ukrainian culture”, and “Physical education”.

Аннотация: The present academic paper is devoted to studying the degree of development of individual components of future economists' professional competence in the digital environment of higher educational institutions. In the course of the research, the level of effectiveness of digitalization of higher educational institutions was studied. To assess the actual competence level of future specialists in the field of economics, a questionnaire survey of students - future economists in Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, and France was conducted. Based on the analysis of the results, the qualifications of students - future economists were assessed, considering the features of labour markets in different countries. According to the research data, it has been established that apparent differences in the degree of digitization of higher education institutions can be observed in various countries, which affects the competence of future specialists. The difference in the degree of development of digital technologies in higher educational institutions causes the formation of a significant gap in the level of professionalism in general and digital competence, in particular, among students of economic specialties. To carry out a highly-effective professional activity, an economist should possess relevant technical, digital, competency-based, and mathematical skills. The survey has revealed that the lack of critical thinking skills in the Czech Republic and Germany and active self-study among students - future economists is especially acute. According to the results of the survey, it has been established that the main reason for the lack of this type of skills is the insufficient number of academic hours allocated during the educational process for their formation, forasmuch as in the conditions of the digitalization of higher education, the time frame of training is limited. Along with this, a lack of development of social and communication skills that develop the professional competence of economists is observed in the Czech Republic, France and Germany.

Аннотация: Online education is a world need. Many universities continue providing online education. The first stress from pandemic and online teaching went on and university teachers managed to cope it. The next stress from wartime in Ukraine came and online teaching goes on, so university teachers manage to cope it again. The purpose of the research is to show university teachers’ psychological state during online education after pandemic in wartime in Ukraine. For achieving the stated purpose, we applied the methods of analysis and synthesis, questionnaire, calculating methods, in particular, MS Excel. The questionnaire consisted of questions help to describe the psychological teachers state, fear, stress, anxiety. The participants of the research became 49 university teachers from Ukraine. The results are as follows. The most common negative impacts on mental health are depression, isolation, family danger, possibility of being attacked, pressure from the war, lack of social life. The most constructive impacts on mental health are morale, social media, chatting, good war news. It is recommended to use different resources to overcome university teachers’ stress. They are faith, feelings, socialization, imagination, thinking, physiological activity. The conclusion is online education after pandemic in Ukraine is still stressful because of wartime. It is recommended to use different resources to overcome university teachers’ stress.

Аннотация: The research studied the effectiveness of the digital passion project activity for developing oral presentation skills of undergraduate students learning English as a foreign language in online education in emergencies. Considering the basic intervention principles suggested by psychologists for students affected by disasters and mass violence circumstances, the researchers conducted a quasi-experiment exploiting the recognized potential of the passion project to build a positive emotional environment and encourage more efficient learning. The findings revealed that experimental group students outperformed control group students in the four out of five aspects of the rubric applied (content, coherence and cohesion, vocabulary richness and adequacy, and grammatical correctness). The results can be attributed to the observed increased creativity, inquisitiveness, engagement in learning, and self-efficacy as well as to the project marketplace method applied at the initial stage. The passionate involvement in the project was proved by the survey administered to check student’s level of passion during the work on the passion project.

Аннотация: This study is a scientific justification for the hypothesis stating that the humanization of education contributes to developing a student’s personality as a subject of educational activity and helps master knowledge and skills that boost the development of professional skills. The study includes 300 cadets from the Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National Air Force University in their 1-4 years of study. The study determines the main pedagogical support components of professional and personal self-development of military students. In the survey, 86.6% of military students positively assessed their professional and personal self-development, although senior students (46.8%) demonstrated less interest in this regard. The study reveals that modern higher education needs further humanization so that future specialists endorse and share humanistic values; the humanization of training at the military university results in positive changes in all criteria of professional and personal self-development of military students. It is necessary to provide three stages in the integral process of professional training: the motivation and value-oriented stage; the cognitive and activity stage; the reflexive and transformative stage

Аннотация: The conditions that have developed in the educational sphere since the beginning of the Russian military aggression in Ukraine have significantly complicated the implementation of the educational process, the establishment of professional communication – from contacts with the immediate environment to global and intercultural ties. The stress burden experienced by both teachers and students includes the forced relocation of participants of the educational process to other regions, the participation of teachers and students in hostilities, territorial defence units and volunteer movements, the loss of relatives and friends, etc. In such conditions, teachers in higher educational institutions should react quickly and take corrective measures in order to restore professional and pedagogical communication. The purpose of the academic paper is to characterize, clarify the advantages, disadvantages and determine the features of certain types of online communication of higher educational institutions with students in modern conditions. In the course of the present research, a number of general and special methods of analysis of scientific sources were applied, as well as an online survey was used to study the standpoint of participants of the educational process, namely, students and teachers of higher educational institutions, regarding the features of online communication of higher education institutions with students in current conditions. Based on the results of the research, the main characteristics of the communication processes taking place in the online mode in higher education were studied, and the standpoint of the participants of the educational process regarding the priority components of the organization of the educational online system was clarified.

Аннотация: The article develops a research hypothesis, which consists in the fact that the development of a system of marketing technologies in educational institutions, ensuring their competitiveness, high quality satisfaction of educational requests of teachers with the aim of increasing their professional competence, will become possible if: • marketing will be perceived by the managers of the educational institution as an integral part of the management system of the educational institution with its special services that ensure the satisfaction of the modern educational professional requests of teachers; • marketing technologies in pedagogical education institutions will be used as a system for identifying and satisfying the educational requests of teachers, taking into account the social and pedagogical situation in the country; • developed a model for the development of the marketing technology system in institutions of additional pedagogical education; • conditions for the implementation of the system development model and the application of marketing technologies will be created in pedagogical education institutions to identify and meet the educational needs of teachers.

Аннотация: The aim of the article was to substantiate the implementation of the visual mind mapping (VMM) strategy for improving the effectiveness of students’ learning in the theoretical and experimental aspect. The focus was the use of VMM to organize learning of students of non-Humanities majors when studying the subjects of the Humanities curriculum, which are mandatory for the undergraduate level. Methods: the following methods were used to collect empirical data and interpret research results: online monitoring through questionnaires in Google Forms; testing with the involvement of the computer programme potential using the EdApp microlearning platform tools; Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI), classic methods of conducting scientific research and statistical data processing. The prospects of further research include a wider integration of VMM with the involvement of special software and determining its impact on the effectiveness of the students’ education. Аннотация: Digitalization of all life spheres is the reality of modern world development. The global digitization creates a powerful information environment. Its navigation requires serious tools for structuring, systematizing and processing information. Digital processes, as the most progressive, are in constant development. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is gaining popularity. The latest product that has created a lot of discussion is OiatGPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) from OpenAI, which is an artificial intelligence chatbot that demonstrates the ability of digital devices to perform the tasks inherent to intelligent beings. The paper shows some issues of using ChatGPT for making a new course of Law English, a curriculum, a syllabus at the tertiary level removing concerns related to its application and utilization. The purpose of the manuscript is to describe a real case of working out a professional English course for university students applying ChatGPT. The methods of analysis, synthesis, case study, expert assessment were used. The results are as follows: a new course for Law English training, a curriculum, a syllabus and a textbook using content created by ChatGPT were readied. The conclusion is that, nowadays, everything can be taught by a teacher partly with an AI. ChatGPT can be used for a wide variety of educational purposes, including providing information, generating necessary texts, tasks, tests, and answering many questions. Most of the mentioned ChatGPT services are important educational elements in language teaching and learning, they can be used for professional English course development.
